How are Hills Formed?
Natural hills are formed all the time, many different ways. One of these activities happens when the rocks underneath the Earth's surface move and change. Hills are also formed because of erosion, which happens when bits of rock, soil, and sediment get washed away and placed in a pile somewhere else.

- not as steep or high as a mountain
- have a high point
- have sloping sides
- are good places to get a nice view
